Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka shankar is an British and American sitarist. She also sings. She is the youngest woman and the first to receive the British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Shankar is the hottest star on the Indian sitar. She is a student and daughter of the famous Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was in London in 1982, and began her life by hopping back and forth between London as well as New Delhi. The first time she performed was at New Delhi at the tender age of 13. After that, she moved into Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha, who is only a teenager, has had a successful performing and recording career. Her father traveled around the world with her and she also gained a variety of opportunities. While still in her teens, Anoushka performed at Carnegie Hall during Peter Gabriel's WOMAD concert. She was the youngest woman to win the House of Commons Shield, awarded by British Parliament as recognition of her talent and musicianship within the Asian Arts.
